 Звуковой оповещатель МЗМ предназначен для подачи мощных звуковых сигналов, отличающихся от производственных шумов, что обеспечивает хорошую слышимость сигналов. 

Звуковой оповещатель звонок громкого боя МЗМ представляет собой электромагнитный механизм переменного тока, заключенный в пылебрызгонепроницаемый корпус. Основными частями оповещателя звонок громкого боя МЗМ являются: основание, два колокола, крышка, катушка с магнитопроводом П-образной формы, коромысло с ударником и диод. 
Колебательное движение коромысла и связанного с ним ударника осуществляется за счет действия электромагнита, питающегося пульсирующим током, и возвратной пружиной.
