Контакторы серии КТПВ предназначены в основном для управления электродвигателями постоянного тока и применяются в качестве линейных контакторов, реверсирующих контакторов, контакторов ускорения и др. Режим работы - продолжительный, прерывисто-продолжительный и повторно-кратковременный и кратковременный. Контакторы для продолжительного режима работы имеют контакты с серебряными вставками.

Два однотипных контакторов с замыкающими контактами, установленные рядом, можно механически блокировать. При этом правый контактор, к которому с левой стороны крепится механическая блокировка, допускает установку блок - контактов только с правой стороны 2 "З", 1 "Р".

Режим работы - продолжительный, прерывисто-продолжительный и повторно-кратковременный и кратковременный. Контакторы для продолжительного режима работы имеют контакты с серебряными вставками. Контакторы, поставляемые без плиты, допускают установку только на изоляционных панелях, а на металлической изолированной плите - на металлических рейках. Присоединение внешних проводников - переднее и заднее.

Контакторы могут быть выполнены с 2 "З" и 2 "Р" блок - контактами, 2 "З" и 1 "Р" блок - контактами или без них. Конструкция блок - контактов, примененных на контакторах, позволяет при монтаже или в условиях эксплуатации производить пересборку элементов за счет изменения положения "З" и "Р" контактов в пределах указанного количества, при этом число размыкающих контактов должно быть не более 2-х от общего числа контактов вспомогательной цепи.

            Контакторы предназначены для работы в продолжительном, прерывисто- продолжительном, повторно-кратковременном и кратковременном режимахработы.
В прерывисто-продолжительном режиме контактор допускает работу при номи- нальном токе с периодом нагрузки без отключения не более 8 ч.
